Custom Chandelier with Cables designed in collaboration with Designer Suzy Accola of Q Tile & Lighting in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
[simpleviewer gallery_id="313"] The Raven Collection was inspired by the ballet, The Unkindness of Ravens which debuted in November 2013 by the Trey McIntyre Project.. I am so appreciative for the growing relationship between Chandi and TMP. Working with the company not only gives me the opportunity to create series of chandeliers around a specific theme and making use of set materials, it taps into my dance roots and brings an underlying essence of movement to the creations.
Every single thing changes and is changing always in this world. Yet with the same light the moon goes on shining. ~Saigyo It's that time again! Take a look at new designs as well as a few familiar Chandis we are bringing to NY. I am looking forward to seeing many of you next week. NYIGF Pier 94 #44027 August 18-21, 2012 [simpleviewer gallery_id="216"] .......................................................................... This summer has been a busy one at Chandi. June was a record month for us (thanks to all of you believing in light!) and, of course as always happens, it was the month right before our move and before our summer show. While the studio move was just a mile away, as you know if you have ever moved, it may as well have been a thousand miles, as everything gets upturned. And with Chandi, it is both fortunate and not that it was immensely more involved than moving a warehouse or office. Because everything is created in studio or locally, we operate simultaneously as a design studio where ideas are first conceived, a creative studio where those conceived ideas are brought into being, a design/wholesale business that services the industry, and now, in our new space, a showroom in which we interact daily with the public. My vision for the new space includes a retail store, bringing in local artisans who create home accessories that complement the Chandi vision, as well as offering repair and restoration services and, most exciting, offering workshops in which people are encouraged to express their own creativity in design and hands-on [...]
[simpleviewer gallery_id="175"] 12-07-11 I am so pleased to be a part of the Trey McIntyre Project's 10+1 part 3! Enjoy browsing through the 11 individual light portraits created and learn more about the project by on the TMP website. All pieces were created using a combination of bronze wire mesh, metal ball chain and crystal. The inspiration for the pieces was taken from the idea of balance. Balance is integral to a dancer's sense of self, to a company's ability to work as a single entity, and to the relationship between performers and their audience. I love the way the pieces complement each other without either competing or mimicking. I have enjoyed the process of creating this family of light, and experiencing how they evolved from one to the next and how the materials called to be combined in different ways. - Meredith

[simpleviewer gallery_id="173"] June 15, 2011 www.32auctions.com/organizations/1734/auctions/1894 The auction is live!!!! Here's your chance to get one of these incredible one of a kind pieces and support Boise Bicycle Project at the same time. Pass it on! April 25, 2011 The Chandi Studio is located in a great spot in downtown Boise, just across from the university and right near the Greenbelt where many of us walk or run after work. We have amazing neighbors that surround us - one of them being the Boise Bicycle Project (www.boisebicycleproject.org). When I moved to Boise last summer, my son Zane and I picked up some bicycle rims in the alley by our house, determined to finally start our long-planned line of lighting out of recycled, found parts. I talked about the concept with Jeff Hartmann of Anarchy Metal (who I have been so fortunate to be working with on my frames), and Jeff and I started letting the idea marinate. So when last month Jeff said he wanted to make a chandelier for BBP, I was so ready to go! Jeff has worked with BBP for a while now and recognizes what an incredible contribution they make to our community. When I learned that BBP was raising money to buy their building, the proverbial wheels started turning. Instead of just one, why not create a series of pieces to be auctioned that might help bring attention to the BBP Biking For the Building campaign and raise some money for them? Jeff told friend and GM of the Boise Fry Company(www.boisefrycompany.com), Ryan Reinke, what we were doing and Ryan offered his own time, efforts, and ideas to take it up a notch and place the chandeliers in restaurants [...]
